The Bermudian Springs Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Delone Catholic Squires at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Bermudian Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
While Bermudian Springs' victory against Fairfield wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Knights 10-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

C Kittinger made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Sydney Kuntz was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Katelyn Willow was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Bermudian Springs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.4.
Meanwhile, Delone Catholic got the win against York County Tech on Monday by a conclusive 17-1. That looming 17-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Squires yet this season.
Like Bermudian Springs, Delone Catholic also got a great game from a two-way player: Adyson Hummer. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Hummer was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Teagan Funkhouser, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Caylee Zortman, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-8. As for Delone Catholic, their record now sits at 3-7.
Delone Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Bermudian Springs has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Delone Catholic, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.6 strikeouts. Will Bermudian Springs keep running through batters, or will the Squires buck the trend?
Bermudian Springs was able to grind out a solid victory over Delone Catholic in their previous meeting back in March, winning 15-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
