The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pinecrest Academy, who took down 310th ranked Lakeview Academy, 30-20.
The Paladins were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fourth in A Region 8. Earlier in the week, Pinecrest Academy triumphed over the Lions 30-20.
George Walton Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Hunter  Rice threw for 77 and two touchdowns and Nick Waters had 36 yards receiving. On the ground Stanley Williams chipped in 85 yards. Casey Shubert helped George Walton Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 30 yards.
George Walton Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Rice has thrown for 166 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Shubert has six catches for 96 yards. Williams leads the league in rushing with 642 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bulldogs take on Commerce. George Walton Academy is currently in fifth, while the Tigers are in second.
The Paladins moved up to 321 from 415 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in A Region 8. Pinecrest Academy was able to make the jump by beating Lakeview Academy 30-20.
