It was a good run, but Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 8-3 to the Sarasota Christian Blazers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan O'Leary, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Nikolas Itturralde, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Sarasota Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-5.

Coming up, Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Lake Mary Prep at 7:00 p.m. on April 4. As for Sarasota Christian, they will welcome The Classical Academy of Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sarasota Christian is facing The Classical Academy of Sarasota at the right time seeing as The Classical Academy of Sarasota is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
