Monroe kept a clean sheet against Anson  on Monday. They put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp  10-0 victory. Considering Monroe have won nine matches by more than three  goals this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
Their offense was hitting Anson from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal.  Keven Lopez-Ramirez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
The  win made it two in a row for Monroe and  bumps their season record up to 11-6-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-12 Anson and 8-10-1 West Stanly. As for Anson,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-12.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Monroe is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Parkwood  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Anson will  challenge  rival West Stanly  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
