Lighthouse Private Christian Academy came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rocky Bayou Christian Knights a 6-0 shutout. The Stingrays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

M Thompson and David Chapellin made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Thompson pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Chapellin tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Thompson a new career-low. At bat, Thompson went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Chapellin went 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Thompson has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Lighthouse Private Christian Academy let Solomon Rials and Ezekiel Rycroft run wild. Rials scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Rycroft scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave Rycroft a new career-high. Adrian Freitez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double.

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-5-1 record.
