Brendan Boynton put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2024 on Tuesday. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched.

Boynton's effort led Lawrence North over Lawrence Central and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats are 9-1 against the Bears going back to May of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
