Mater Brickell Academy found their leader in underclassman Antonio Medina, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Medina is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Fritner Catilus was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Mater Brickell Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for International Studies, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mater Brickell Academy will take on the at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sports Leadership & Management presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulls in Florida (the are ranked 270th, while the Bulls are ranked 676th). International Studies' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st.
