Fall River is 7-1 against Parkview since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Meanwhile, Seim tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Veith has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Veith went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Seim went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Veith has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Coloso, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Ethan Stai, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Fall River was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Parkview's offense. They came up short against Palmyra-Eagle on Thursday, falling 7-0.
Fall River's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Parkview, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Parkview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fall River has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .488. It's a different story for Parkview, though, as they've only averaged .299. Will they be able to contain Fall River's hitters?
