Dalton Nix made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Jefferson Davis Academy: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one hit, but 4-5 otherwise. Nix was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jefferson Davis Academy got a massive performance out of Colson Loadholt, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The Raiders are 4-1 when Loadholt posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-4 otherwise. Payton Payne was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
