Basketball Recap: Unaka Piles Up the Points Against Washburn

Unaka entered their tilt with Washburn on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They really took it to the Washburn Pirates for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-39 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Rangers had established a 22 point advantage.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dillon Mullins, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Clay, who put up six points.

Unaka pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Washburn, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Unaka will head out on the road to challenge Twin Springs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washburn, they will host University School at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
