The Peyton Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 79-47 victory over Dolores Huerta Prep. Winning may never get old, but Peyton sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Peyton had a senior duo take command as Brian Keairnes scored 13 points along with eight assists and seven steals and Ayden Breese scored 18 points along with six assists and two steals. It was the first time this season that Keairnes posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Love, who scored ten points along with three blocks and two steals.
Peyton has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Dolores Huerta Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peyton will challenge Belleview Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dolores Huerta Prep, they will head out on the road to take on Elbert at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Elbert focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
