Seton Catholic has gone a perfect 8-0 against Apache Junction recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Sentinels will welcome the Prospectors at 6:00 p.m. Seton Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
Apache Junction will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Seton Catholic extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. The Sentinels' pitchers stepped up to hand Odyssey Institute a 13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Sentinels, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Max Peterson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Garet Miller looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Jax Minnis, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in February. Chase Ries was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Apache Junction came up short against Valley Christian on Thursday, falling 11-1. The Prospectors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Isaiah Carranza was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
Seton Catholic pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Apache Junction, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
Everything went Seton Catholic's way against Apache Junction in their previous meeting back in March, as Seton Catholic made off with a 9-3 win. Will the Sentinels repeat their success, or do the Prospectors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
