Burke suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. Their rough 72-49 loss to Gregory might stick with them for a while.
Meanwhile, Boyd County came up short against West Holt on Monday and fell 52-42. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Boyd County in their matchups with West Holt: they've now lost four in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Derris Hansen, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Adams, who scored 11 points.
Burke's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Boyd County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Burke came up short against Boyd County in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 54-42. Thankfully for Burke, Zander Kluckman (who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
