The St. John's Cadets are ranked highly in their home state, and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Elizabeth Seton. St. John's walked away with a 60-47 victory over Elizabeth Seton. St. John's pushed the score to 53-33 by the end of the third, a deficit Elizabeth Seton cut but never quite recovered from.
St. John's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tatum Greene, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carolae Barton, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
St. John's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Elizabeth Seton, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. John's will take on Bishop Ireton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Ireton is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Elizabeth Seton, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Paul VI at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th.
