The Kennedy Catholic Lancers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They really took it to Federal Way for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-26 victory on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for Kennedy Catholic as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Kennedy Catholic was led to victory by Kathryn Schroeder and Paige Nadarski. Schroeder scored nine points along with five steals, while Nadarski scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Schroeder is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey McCraw, who scored six points.
Kennedy Catholic's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Federal Way, they bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennedy Catholic will take on Enumclaw at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Enumclaw is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Federal Way, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Annie Wright at 8:00 a.m. on January 15th. Annie Wright presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Federal Way in Washington (Annie Wright is ranked 103rd, while Federal Way is ranked 269th).
