They took their game on the road on Saturday with ease, bagging a 53-20 win over Miller. That looming 53-20 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Grove City Christian yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grove City Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Garringer, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garringer has scored all season. Rylee Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Fisher Catholic over Wellington School in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Fisher Catholic blew Wellington School out of the water with a 60-13 final score. The victory was just what Fisher Catholic needed coming off of a 59-39 defeat in their prior contest.
Fisher Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ellie Bruce, who dropped a triple-double on 15 points, ten rebounds, and ten blocks. Bruce is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Voni Bethel, who scored 15 points.
Grove City Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Fisher Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
Grove City Christian was dealt a bruising 56-2 defeat at the hands of Fisher Catholic in their previous matchup back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Grove City Christian was down 37-2.
