The Suncoast Chargers will challenge the Jensen Beach Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Suncoast is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
Suncoast barely beat Olympic Heights the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 15-1 win on Friday.
John Cimbella was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cimbella was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other pitching news, Jason Giamboi looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.
Back at the plate, Suncoast got a massive performance out of Aidan Arjune, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs Arjune has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lee Ellis, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Suncoast always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Olympic Heights only posted an OBP of .318.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Jensen Beach had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let Dr. Joaquin Garcia get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since March 11th.
Not much got past John Gillen, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Dr. Joaquin Garcia off the board. Gillen also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Jensen Beach is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-14 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Will Rader, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Suncoast's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Jensen Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 10-16.
Jensen Beach's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Suncoast has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. It's a different story for Jensen Beach, though, as they've only averaged .347. Will they be able to contain Suncoast's hitters?
Suncoast was able to grind out a solid win over Jensen Beach in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
