McCook Central/Montrose relied on the efforts of Ella DeKnikker, who had 19 digs and one assist, and Braylee Meyer, who had nine digs. That's the most digs DeKnikker has posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Parker/Marion walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Beavers on Tuesday.
The win didn't come easy: Hanson scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 15-25, 25-21.
McCook Central/Montrose's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Parker/Marion, their win bumped their record up to 17-15.
McCook Central/Montrose came out on top in a nail-biter against Parker/Marion in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 3-2. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Pheasants' Braelyn Berens, who had 26 digs and one assist.
