Volleyball Recap: Eureka's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Eureka won the last time they faced Lindbergh and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Flyers. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

While Eureka might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lindbergh scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18.

Caroline Tenholder paced Eureka's offense, picking up 11 kills. Tenholder got some help from Audrey Hackney and her 22 assists. Elise Parker controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the defeat, Lindbergh saw an underclassman step up: freshman Julie Jenkerson had 19 digs and two assists. Jenkerson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Eureka's win bumped their record up to 13-9-1. As for Lindbergh, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9-1.

Eureka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Ozark on the 10th. As for Lindbergh, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Advance on the 11th.
