Springboro is 8-2 against Fairmont since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Firebirds at 5:00 p.m.

Jaylin Turner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Turner was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Carlee Netherton and Bailey Young did most of the damage at the plate: Netherton went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Young went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Netherton has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Hannah Perdue was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Fairmont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .370 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.
Fairmont is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Springboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
