Assumption came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Danville Christian Academy Warriors, posting a 78-50 win. The Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Ashlinn James, who went 11 of 14 on her way to 25 points and seven steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Hall, who went 6 for 11 en route to 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Assumption was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Assumption pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Danville Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Assumption will take on Sacred Heart at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Danville Christian Academy, they will square off against Boyle County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
