Center Place had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 32-20 win over Applewood Christian on Tuesday. The victory was just what Center Place needed coming off of a 49-16 defeat in their prior game.
Center Place got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rylie Kroesen out in front who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Kroesen posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Caylyn Schrunk, who scored two points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Center Place's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Applewood Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Center Place will take on El Dorado Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Applewood Christian, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Kansas City East Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th. Kansas City East Christian Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
