Basketball Recap: Economedes Piles Up the Points Against Grulla

Economedes lost to Grulla back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Economedes Jaguars blew past the Grulla Gators 63-34. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Economedes was led to victory by Nathaniel De La Garza and Aniel Solis. De La Garza went 6 for 15 on his way to 22 points and three steals, while Solis dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Jesse Medrano was another key player, putting up ten points.

Economedes has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Grulla, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Economedes will venture away from home to face off against Los Fresnos at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Los Fresnos has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Grulla, they will welcome Zapata at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
