The Inglemoor Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Woodinville Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Inglemoor is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Bellevue with a sharp 23-5 win on Friday. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly 18 runs.
Inglemoor got a massive performance out of Alexa Saladin (2025) (PLU), who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Izzy Vannoy (2028) was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.
Inglemoor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Woodinville came tearing into Friday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Red Wolves as they made off with a 14-7 victory.
Woodinville also got a great performance from Maya Matthews as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, Lucy Ford was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Emma Bero, who went 4-for-5 with one home run and three RBI.
Inglemoor is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Woodinville, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Inglemoor has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Woodinville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Inglemoor came out on top in a nail-biter against Woodinville in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
