The Anclote Sharks suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2023 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 71-44 loss at the hands of Mitchell. Anclote has not had much luck with Mitchell recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Anclote still got an impressive performance from Mekhi Brown, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Linden James, who scored ten points.
Anclote bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Mitchell, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anclote will face off against River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mitchell won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Balboa School at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. One thing working in Balboa School's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests.
