Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Parklane Academy Pioneers walked away with it. They took down the Buccaneers 50-35 on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for Parklane Academy who now have three in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parklane Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zoe Alford, who scored 16 points. Georgia Lindsey was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Parklane Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Bowling Green, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Parklane Academy will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Leake Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 14th. Hopefully Leake Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. Bowling Green does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
