Ava Hazelton made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Mackenzie Adolfson was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Parker Bennett was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Mid Valley and bumps their season record up to 18-2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games.
