Drew Charter is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will take on the South Atlanta Hornets at 5:30 p.m. Drew Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Drew Charter was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Therrell on Monday. Drew Charter never let Therrell get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Drew Charter considering their one-run performance the game before.

Walter Nunnally made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Josiah Rich was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jacob Haynes, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Drew Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, South Atlanta was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against Therrell, falling 14-0. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

With the loss, South Atlanta broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Drew Charter, their record now sits at 2-3.

Drew Charter took their victory against South Atlanta in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Drew Charter since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
