After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, St. Augustine brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Everything went their way against the Edna Karr Cougars on Monday as they made off with a 16-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Purple Knights, who have now won 12 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Angel Sutherland looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Cleavon Crutchfield was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bryce Robinson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

St. Augustine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .560. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

St. Augustine moved to 17-14 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Edna Karr, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

As of now, neither St. Augustine nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
