The LaFayette Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. Their tough 40-19 defeat to Wadley might stick with them for a while. LaFayette was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
Wadley was led to victory by A'mya Brown and Celest Angel. Brown scored 12 points, while Angel scored 13 points.
LaFayette has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Wadley, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
LaFayette will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Handley will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak alive. As for Wadley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
