Fort Calhoun has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will square off against the Yutan Chieftains at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Fort Calhoun focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
Fort Calhoun struggled with assists on Thursday (Douglas County West had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Fort Calhoun fell just short of Douglas County West by a score of 50-47.
Fort Calhoun's defeat came about despite a quality game from Grayson Bouwman, who scored 23 points. The matchup was Bouwman's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Declyn Otte, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Yutan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Tuesday as they fell 49-43 to Arlington.
Fort Calhoun's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. As for Yutan, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-1.
