They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  9-7  victory over the Montpelier Locomotives. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Bears also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2024.
As for Montpelier, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. The  loss was just more heartbreak for they who fell  3-1 when the teams previously met back in April of 2023.
 For Montpelier's part,  Hayden Sharps was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. Sharps has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Jaxon Stahler, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bryan will square off against Tinora at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Montpelier, they will venture away from home to  take on Hicksville  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
