Meade is 8-2 against Old Mill since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Meade Mustangs will get right back to it and host the Old Mill Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Meade knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matches -- so hopefully Old Mill likes a good challenge.
Meade can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southern 76-48 on the road. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Meade had established a 24 point advantage.
Meade's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashton Turman, who scored 12 points. Josh Holmes was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Old Mill had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against Glen Burnie by a score of 44-37.
Meade has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Old Mill, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10.
Meade was able to grind out a solid victory over Old Mill when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 65-56. Does Meade have another victory up their sleeve, or will Old Mill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
