Baseball Recap: Warroad Extends Winning Streak to Three

Warroad entered their tilt with Badger/Greenbush-Middle River on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Gators. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-2 last Thursday.

Warroad's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warroad will take on Thief River Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Prowlers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, they will host Mahnomen/Waubun at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Gators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunderbirds have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
