The Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
Carrizo Springs wouldn't go down easily and took Pleasanton into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 24-26, 23-25, 15-12.
Devine better focus on containing Joselyn DeLuna and Giada Gonzalez as the pair were huge in Carrizo Springs' win. DeLuna had 18 assists and four digs, while Gonzalez had four digs and two aces. That's the most assists DeLuna has posted since back in August of 2024.
Carrizo Springs was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are a perfect 5-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Carrizo Springs' win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Devine, their loss dropped their record down to 19-17.
Everything went Devine's way against Carrizo Springs when the teams last played back in September, as Devine made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Warhorses / Arabians repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
