Carmella Gallardo was her usual excellent self, going 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Morales, who scored seven points along with 11 assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Saguaro put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against St. Mary's as Saguaro made off with a 66-46 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Saguaro has posted since December 14, 2023.
Seton Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Saguaro, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.
Seton Catholic strolled past Saguaro in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 69-52. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Saguaro's Erica McGadney, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
