Lancaster had lost four straight, but after bumping their record up to 9-10 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Platteville Hillmen 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Flying Arrows have posted since April 23rd.
Lillian Edge made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Amelia Johnson was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Addison Morgan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Lancaster was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
As for Platteville, they now have a losing record of 8-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since May 13, 2025.
On Platteville's side, Lainee Pickel was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Hintze, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Coming up, Lancaster will head out on the road to face off against Belmont at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Platteville, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Mount Horeb at 5:00 p.m. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Hillmen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
