Baseball Recap: Deckerville Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Deckerville barely beat Peck the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Pirates a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Deckerville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Peck, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Deckerville will take on Brown City at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Peck, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss against Algonac on the 27th.
