BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - 
Tehachapi (Calif.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Foothill (Bakersfield, Calif.), 49-14, on Saturday.
The Warriors were up 21-7 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by 
Bobby Howell to 
Skylar Valencia in the second quarter.
Tehachapi expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. THS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by 
Jorge Garcia.
With the win the Warriors extended their winning streak to six games. Tehachapi defeated the Stars 41-13 last week.
Brandon Fanning made a difference for the Trojans. He ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 12 touchdowns on the season.
THS's most effective player was Garcia. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 17 touchdowns on the season.
Coming into the game the Warriors had allowed 20.5 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding Foothill below its season average of 18.5 points scored per game.
Foothill (3-6) goes up against Highland in a Southeast Yosemite game matchup next week, while Tehachapi (8-1) locks horns with Garces also in a Southeast Yosemite game.
