On Thursday, Van-Far got the win against Macon by a conclusive 65-43. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-13.
Nikos Connaway continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Van-Far's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Gibson, who scored 9 points.
Van-Far's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Macon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Van-Far will take on North Callaway at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Macon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mendon Unity at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th.
