It was a good run, but the Fordham Prep Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 65-54 to Regis. Fordham Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Fordham Prep's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Jackson, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Kapfer, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Fordham Prep's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4. As for Regis, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fordham Prep is on the road again on Sunday and plays the Cardinals at 1:00 p.m. on February 4th. LaSalle Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Regis, they will head out on the road to square off against the at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
