The Kennedy Cougars lost against the Franklin Wildcats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Kennedy's tough 66-46 loss to Franklin might stick with them for a while. Kennedy has not had much luck with Franklin recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Dondre Prothro and A. Young certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Prothro scored ten points, while Young scored ten points. The matchup was Young's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Shirley, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
Kennedy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Oakmont at 5:00 p.m. on December 14th. Franklin won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oak Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Oak Ridge is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
