The Gaither Cowboys had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 58-47 win over Chamberlain. For Gaither, this counts as revenge for the 72-64 loss Chamberlain walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Rico Kindred continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marc Fransberg, who scored eight points.
Despite the loss, Chamberlain still got an impressive performance from Dijon Vaughn-Dixon, who scored 15 points. Kmar Johnson was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Gaither is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Chamberlain, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.
Gaither will head out on the road to face off against Sumner at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chamberlain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverview at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverview is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
