Lutheran and The Christian School at Castle Hills are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the pair will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
Last Thursday, Lutheran came up short against Gloria Deo Academy and fell 49-40.
Meanwhile, The Christian School at Castle Hills entered their tilt with New Braunfels Christian Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. The Christian School at Castle Hills came out on top against New Braunfels Christian Academy by a score of 48-35 last Friday.
Peyton Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 11 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emily Eason, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for The Christian School at Castle Hills, they pushed their record up to 10-12 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Lutheran was able to grind out a solid win over The Christian School at Castle Hills in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 67-54.
