The Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels struggled with offensive rebounds on Saturday (the Caprock Academy Eagles had 1300% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Golden View Classical Academy received a tough blow as they fell 33-17 to Caprock Academy. Golden View Classical Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ainsley Chidester was Golden View Classical Academy's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Annie Kuck held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Kuck took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Caprock Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katie Repshire, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Pennie Underwood, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds.
Golden View Classical Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Caprock Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Golden View Classical Academy will square off against Front Range Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Caprock Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ridgway at 5:30 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Ridgway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
