Bellaire won the last time they faced Cesar E. Chavez and things went their way on Friday too. The Bellaire Cardinals simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cesar E. Chavez Lobos 67-12. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Bellaire was led to victory by Tyniah Smith and Lauren Burns. Smith almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards, while Burns went 7 for 16 on her way to 16 points in addition to seven steals and six assists. What's more, Smith also racked up three steals, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ava Gusman, who posted seven points and five assists.

Bellaire pushed their record up to 14-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Cesar E. Chavez, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Bellaire didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-49 victory against Heights on the 28th. As for Cesar E. Chavez, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 18-17 defeat against Houston Math Science & Tech on the 29th.
