FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEThe Idaho High School Activities Association (IHSAA) and MaxPreps, the online high school sports leader, have announced a three-year partnership agreement that will enable the IHSAA to provide a customized sports information platform for its member schools.
MaxPreps and the IHSAA will offer a publishing platform across desktop, tablet and mobile that will streamline the process of managing sports information from its member schools. The partnership enables all box score information published on MaxPreps.com to be automatically provided to the IHSAA for use in managing various initiatives.
Beginning in the 2017-18 school year, coaches will be required to submit team rosters and team photos to MaxPreps and will be encouraged to submit scores to track regular-season standings and results used for post-season qualifications.
"MaxPreps continues to pursue its goal to feature sports information from every team, every game and every player in America. The new agreement with the IHSAA brings us closer to achieving that vision," said Andy Beal, president and founder of MaxPreps. "The IHSAA partnership represents a milestone in some respects as MaxPreps now is partnered with 25-state high school governing bodies, and we are thrilled to highlight the accomplishments of Idaho student-athletes locally and nationally."
"The Idaho High School Activities Association is very proud to team with MaxPreps in our continuing effort to improve services for our member schools and student-athletes," IHSAA Executive Director Ty Jones said. "We look forward to a long and successful partnership."
