The Kent County Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 39-27 defeat to North Caroline. Kent County has not had much luck with North Caroline recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Kent County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zoe Angenieux, who scored 17 points. Angenieux scored a full 63% of Kent County's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Kent County bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for North Caroline, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kent County will take on St. Michaels at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Michaels comes in on a streak of failing to score more than ten points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for North Caroline, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Easton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
