After a string of three wins, the University Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 88-81 to Colonial. University has not had much luck with Colonial recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why University lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mo Kamara. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 29 points and 13 rebounds. Kamara is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Noah Nazario, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
University's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Colonial, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University will challenge Jones at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Colonial, they will head out on the road to challenge Viera at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Viera is ranked 176th, while Colonial is ranked 173rd).
