Mark Twain scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the South Shelby Cardinals by a score of 14-12. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Treyton Clements was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Hunter Lewellen was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Mark Twain's record is now 1-15. As for South Shelby, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.
